Although I could not attend, it was good to hear from some of the
class of '57. I'll be there next time. It would be good to have reunions more often for those of us with
busy work (retirement) schedules and failing memories.

The reunion was wonderful because there were so many people we
had not see in years! And the book that was prepared from our
comments is wonderful to have too. I'm sorry I was so busy at the
time Tony wanted the info & didn't submit mine. If I'd understood
the purpose I would have done a better job. The setting for the
reunion was perfect too. I remember an "after-glow" party at the
golf course one year, junior or senior? I would suggest we don't
wait so long for the next one, maybe 2yrs? Also, the photographer
had a hard job getting so many in one picture, but is there a better
way to do it so that faces can be more clearly seen? Also, the price
was perfect too, unbelievably so.

First of all I would like to thank David for the wonderful web
site he created. Next I would like to thank all who made the event a
fantastic success. I had a great time and saw many class mates that
I had not seen for 50 years. The class book was a great success. I
was able to look into the past and follow many friends to my future.
I now have e-mail address and communication with many class mates.
All involved are commended on the great works they did in making the
reunion a remembering event. I also would like to thank the person
who was responsible for inviting Mr. Gibson. Pat and I saw him in
New Port R.I. in about 1964. It could not have been better. Thank
you, Thank You. I would like the great web site developed by David
stay available for future use. I did miss you at the reunion David
as I was sure you would be there.

Great time but still didn't have enough time to talk with everyone.
Probably the cold weather made us leave early on night (Friday), so
we can't control that. We did e-mail Tony, as his planning was
superb.

I personally had a great time at both the Friday night wiener roast
and Saturday's more formal night. Being on the committee that
organized the reunion, I know how hard many people worked to
successfully put this together. Praise should go to Alice Ann and
Tony for all the hours they spent making a nice reunion for all of
us. It was great seeing classmates that I hadn't seen in years.

First a huge thanks to Tony and Alice and the entire committee for
such a smashing success. The book is incredible. Since I had not
been back for a reunion in 50 years it was amazing to renew old
acquaintances. Missed the classmates could not make it but the
turnout was very good. I don't think we should wait another 10 years
or perhaps no one will be able to attend. Perhaps a couple of years
would make sense. I thought the mid-September timing was very good
also. Would love to hear from any old (or young) classmates, whether
you made the reunion or not. Best to all and thanks again.

I very much enjoyed the 50th Reunion. Those that did not go on the
hayride don't realize what they missed (and it was warmer on the
wagon than it was at the hot dog roast)! It was great to see
everyone that I hadn't seen since the last reunion that they
attended and catch up with what they are doing now that we are all
reaching retirement age. I think that we should do it every two
years as we are all getting older and our health isn't what it used
to be.

Thanks to David for this great website. Am wondering if there is any
interest in having another get-together in a couple of years, say
around 2009? From previous feedback, some have already expressed
this. If you are interested, please post to the website and we will
see what we can work up. Maybe a trip, who knows?

Classmates from 1957, Hafa Adai from Saipan! Sure wish I could have
attended the reunion, but a bit far for me to make it, not to
mention the price of airline tickets. However, I did get a copy of
the reunion booklet and have since been in e-mail contact with Tony
Cochran and Ron and Pat Peck. Many thanks to those who contributed
the time and money to carry out the reunion booklet project. Being
currently involved in the publication of a magazine, I have a great
appreciation for such an undertaking. I read the booklet from cover
to cover and enjoyed catching up on what has gone on in the lives of
former classmates. Here’s an interesting bit: Would you believe that
from September to late November, there were three PHS grads on this
tiny island? We’re about 20 years apart in age. In addition to me,
Ted Parker has lived here for 10 years or so. He is a pharmacist and
his dad was a pharmacist in Paris long ago when Ted was in high
school. Then in September a young woman, Paige McDaniel, came here
for an internship as a midwife. She’s about 32 and left a couple of
weeks ago to return to schooling in Philadelphia. Had some photos
taken with her and want to do an article for the Beacon. Ted was
off-island at the time of the picture taking so didn’t get to
include him. As it turns out, Paige lived in a house just up
Crawford Street from our house—in the house Dr. Haun lived in back
in the day, directly across the street from the old Paris Hospital.
All the best,
Ivan Propst.

WOW! Of all the reunions (sorry, only 3..we were overseas during
one..) THIS WAS THE BEST!! Tony, Alice Ann, Sharon, and all who had
anything to do with it...You outdid yourselves! No one mentioned (so
far) the tour of good old PHS, but that was enjoyed and personally I
was glad to see that they are moving along and improving even if it
is not up to big city (or even some mid-size city) standards. The
balloon release and program in the library was a good way to
remember our friends who have moved on to better things. The Friday
night program was good...if a little cool which CANNOT be
controlled...and Saturday was the best! Great music thanks to Carl
(AKA Carol) and Linda Hall. Best of everything, was the wonderful
book including information on all our classmates as best as
provided. Imagine our surprise to find out that Ida Nell "Gosnell"
was only 16 miles away in beautiful downtown Navarre.. (said in
jest).. there is no downtown in Navarre! Great Job to all of you!!

What a wonderful reunion! I thoroughly enjoyed every activity. My
husband was very impressed and said I should be proud of the people
and of the reunion planning. I am proud. Thanks for all the time
and work that you all put into making this a grand celebration for
all of us. God's blessings!
